I am ELITE.

Ladies and gentlemen, my fellow Yelpers- good news....I AM ELITE!!! My mission, some may say, has been accomplished. 101 reviews, hmm not too many friends and I made it!!! But it is not over. The mission has just begun. I need to hold my yelp oath and continue to be a yelpotic (that stands for pyschcotic about yelp).

I must now get back to my daily duties. Keep reviewin'

On the Rd.

My wife and I are on the road to Chicago. I am still holding true to my promise of yelping every place and any place. I even got my self a cool journal- my yelp journal- to jot down my thoughts.

Yelping on the road is a bit of a challenge, mind you. I figure I am going to need to make yelp pit stops. I just reached review number 70! A new pub in Bend, Oregon.

I hope the yelps on our road trip prove useful. We have already encountered obstacles that I would like others to avoid and blessings that need to be shared.

Stay tuned.

And away we go!

Yelpified. Yelper-doodle-do. Yelpin. That's me. Here I am: a school teacher with nothing better to do. Well, that is not entirely true. I just got married, back from an incredible honeymoon and now we are getting ready to drive to Chi-town. Oh yeah, and we are picking up a puppy along the way. So, I guess you could say I have some things cooking in the kitchen.

I want. No no. I am determined, to become an Elite Member on Yelp. I didn't realize how easy it was to sign up and start reviewing. I have almost hit 60 reviews, 59 to be exact. I have absolutely no idea how many I need to write before I become an Elite Member, or what else I need to do. Regardless, as if yelping was not taking up enough of my spare time, I am going to blog about my journey through yelp-hood.

I could be a yelpamaniac and think back on everything and every place I have gone to so I could rack up as many reviews as possible- but what would be the fun in that? According to my profile I have been yelping since July 2009 (barley a month). I made a promise to myself I will yelp every place I can yelp since the date I signed up- nothing before. Too bad, because I have experienced some amazing places that I would love to talk about- but that would be cheating. You might say, why not just go back to your favorite places and yelp about them now- after all they are your favorite, right? Right, indeed. But I can't. I am kind of moving this Saturday and I don't really have the time or the money. Don't worry though. My wife and I are headed to Chicago- the windy city (I say that as if you have never heard that before) where we will try, against her will (because she is a tad bit more hmm lets say, conservative with money than me) some really nice dinning establishments, as well as a cafe or two or three, even a park- and I will be yelping along the way. I even plan on getting a moleskin just dedicated to places I will yelp about- I don't want to forget!

So, in the words of my favorite author- of who I can't actually remember his name under such blogging pressure- join me. Join me in my journey to becoming an elite member of yelp...I hope. That way I can then go to all the cool parties and other functions they (whoever "they" is) have and yelp the yelpers.

Till next time- it's yelp time. (not sure what the hell that means but it sounds cool.)

PS- All my yelps start with "here is the deal" and I try to end it with "you've just been yelped in." Go ahead, call me corny, but every reviewer has to have some tag or else I am just like all the other yelpers. So sad.
